• Hello! I'm Kelly Cooper, the Speech Language Pathologist at Walker Elementary. I began working here at Walker in the fall of 2008. I love working with my students and especially enjoy watching them improve their speech and language skills. I'm very proud of how hard all of my students work each year.

I am originally from Sheffield, AL which is in the Shoals area. After graduating from Sheffield High School, I came to Tuscaloosa to attend the University of Alabama. I have a BA in Communicative Disorders and an MS in Speech Language Pathology. My husband is a teacher and coach at Northridge High School.

On October 5, 2011, my husband and I became parents to a beautiful little girl named Sophie. She is now a fifth grader here at Walker. I'm so glad that she is able to enjoy and love this school as much as I do.  She loves to read and spend time with her family.

On Februrary 20, 2016, we welcomed Samuel Owen Cooper into our family.  Sam is an active kiddo and loves to laugh. He enjoys entertaining everyone around him and is so fun to watch. He has truly completed our family. He is now a first grade student here at Walker.

We also have two pet cats, Roxie (a girl) and Lucy (a boy). Roxie likes to follow our kiddos around and loves to chase a laser dot around our house.  Lucy is very active and chases around the house all day long. He likes to play with cat toys and catch bugs.
