     My name is Alicia Bynum.  I am so excited to be the Library Media Specialist at Walker Elementary School.  I am a former Walker student and graduate of Northside High School.  I graduated from the University of Alabama with certifications in elementary education, early childhood education and special education.  I received a Master's Degree in Library Media Studies from the University of West Alabama.  After teaching for 7 years and being the librarian for 5 years at Flatwoods, I chose to move back to Walker.  This is my seventh year at Walker Elementary!
     
     My husband, Thomas, is a firefighter, paramedic and owns his own business.  We have two amazing daughters, Becca (7th grade) and Bree (3nd grade).
