I am the reading specialist at Walker Elementary.  I have a total of 22 years in the classroom - 11 years in first grade and 11 years in 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. I love reading and I have always enjoyed teaching children to read in first grade, and then reading to learn in the upper grades.
