Meet the Teacher
Hi, I’m Mollie-Clark Hudson, and I am beyond thrilled to be joining the Northside Community! I just recently graduated from the University of Alabama and am filled with gratitude that I get to start my teaching career at Walker Elementary. I believe that learning should be fun but meaningful. We will work hard and play hard!
Let me take this time to tell you a little about my background. I am originally from Tupelo, Mississippi (birth place of Elvis Presley). I went to Tupelo High School where I was very involved with cheerleading and dance. That is also where I discovered my passion for mentoring and working with children. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education. I am certified in early childhood and elementary. I am looking forward to this school year and becoming a part of the Walker family!

Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy focuses on student success through creating an atmosphere of positivity, creativity, and productivity. I believe it is important that every child is seen and heard. I am focused on creating a nurturing, structured learning environment to help each child reach its full potential. I cannot be a successful teacher or have successful students without working to establish a connection to all my students. Setting high expectations mixed with love and devotion, leads to success in and out of the classroom.

Teaching Experiences
During my time at UA, my teaching experience ranged from birth to sixth grade. I spent time at the RISE center in the infant class room, as well as, various pre-k classrooms. I was fortunate that I got to spend a semester in a pre-k classroom at Big Sandy Elementary and two weeks in a pre-k classroom at Southview Elementary. I also spent half of one semester with 3rd grade at Tuscaloosa Magnet School. For my student internship I spent half the internship with 5th grade at Lakeview Elementary and the other half with kindergarten at Northport Elementary. Lastly, one summer I taught 6th grade math with the Breakthrough Birmingham organization. Through all of these teaching experiences, professors, and mentors, I have learned so many valuable and important educational skills and tools to use in the classroom. These have shaped me into the educator that I want to be and hope to be!
