Hi,  My name is Aimee Porter! I am a part of the Special Education team at Walker Elementary.

I grew up a Chilton County "peach," and my husband is a native of Mississippi. We made Tuscaloosa County our home after getting married nine years ago. Ben and I currently reside in Samantha and have two sons. Both of our boys attend Walker. Ethan is in kindergarten and Barrett is in 3rd grade. As a family, we enjoy being actively involved at our church, all types of outdoor adventures, taking road trips and sports. 

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, and Master's Degrees in both Special Education and School Psychometry. It has been my privilege to serve students with special needs, and their families, for 22 years. It has always brought me great joy to help students grow in their abilities and reach their full potential.

When not enjoying family time, some of my other favorite hobbies include canoeing with my husband, gardening, knitting and watching my boys play sports. 

Our family truly adores this school and community. I am super excited about starting my second year at Walker. Go Rams!
