Hillcrest High School

I graduated from the University of Alabama in 2002 with a Bachelors of Science degree in secondary education. In addition, I received my Master of Arts degree in secondary education in 2005, graduating summa cum laude. I received the Most Outstanding Secondary Education/ Social Science Graduate Student Award in the spring of 2005. I am currently working on my Ed.S.

This is my 17th year at Hillcrest High School, and I am very excited to continue to work with eager students and dedicated faculty. I completed my Master of Arts in secondary education in the spring of 2005. While working on my masters, I was employed as a graduate assistant in the College of Education. This position allowed me to visit almost all local secondary schools while supervising future teachers. After experiencing these schools, I can truly say Hillcrest provides a world class education, second to none in the Tuscaloosa area.

My sister, Jennifer Stiles, is a former English teacher at Hillcrest and is currently taking time off to spend with her young children. My other sister, Ann-Marie Peirano, is beginning her 16th year at Hillcrest as a history teacher. In addition, along with Brad Armstrong, I coach the Hillcrest tennis team.

In my free time, I enjoy reading and all sports. Alabama football and Braves baseball occupy much of my time not spent at Hillcrest.
