    About

    As a native of Alabama and a product of public education, it gives me great joy to give back to both by teaching English at HHS. My classroom philosophy is “Y’all means all.” I’m here to help students work on their current and future best selves, whether it be going straight into the career force after graduation or further pursuing their education in college. I may not be able to convince every student that literature and writing are tangible magic on earth, but I will prove that they’re relevant to their daily lives, fertilizer for future successes, and will strengthen their critical reading and analysis skills. When I’m not teaching I can usually be found spending time with my pets (Huck Creeley, Lenny, Zelda, and Lola), attending a barre class, or watching a true crime show that will inevitably make me too paranoid to take the garbage out to the curb at night.
