TCSS ALL-COUNTY FESTIVAL

What is this event?
The TCSS All-County Choral Fesitval is an opportunity for students from all TCSS schools to join together with other choir students from the TCSS system and learn challenging choral music. They will rehearse during the day with a clinician. At the end of the day they will present a free, public concert that evening that will feature both a middle school and high school mass choir.
Who should audition?
Any 10-12 grade student with director approval (students with excessive absences or discipline referrals will not be approved). Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first come first served basis.
What do I have to do to audition?
Students will learn 4-5 pieces of music in advance, then pass off the music for their directors.
When is it?
The audition deadline is usually mid-November. The festival is usually held in January. See this year’s paperwork for specific dates.
How much does it cost?
- To audition, you pay $30-35(see this year’s paperwork).
- You may be responsible for the cost of a meal or t-shirt closer to the festival.
What does the audition fee cover?
- All-County Music Packet
- School and Individual audition fee
- Rehearsal tracks
What do I need to do in order to be able to audition?
- Obtain director approval
- Fill out the permission form
- Return permission form by the deadline
- After these steps are completed, we will provide you with an All-County music packet and rehearsal tracks
