• Bulletin- Friday, May 3, 2024 

     

    • The School Store - Wildcat Corner – is planning on hosting a ONE DAY opening NEXT WEEK on Wednesday, May 8th! The store will be open before school, break, advisory, lunch, and 30 minutes after school. Take advantage because we will not open back up until Schedule Pickup!  

     

    • Students, if you are a current Shelton State Dual Student, physical copies of books must be returned to the Book Store. You can also ask Mrs. Cardwell in room 2204 to return your books. Mrs. Cardwell is on campus until 1:30. All books must be labeled with your name and A number in order for Mrs. Cardwell to return your books. The bookstore will charge you and place a HOLD on your account if you do not return your books...... 

     

    • SENIORS: If you have received any scholarship offers, please make sure you have turned in the yellow form to Mrs. Hagler by the end of the day TODAY. Only students accepting scholarships will be recognized at the program, but we need all offers turned in to get added to our total dollar amount. If a yellow form is not turned in- you will not be recognized! 

     

    • Attention Key Club members - all Key Club members will need to have a total of 25 points by the end of the semester. Any senior must have 25 points to receive a medallion for graduation. A list of current point totals are outside of Mrs. Cameron’s room - room 1407 or Mrs. Barringer’s room - Room 2201.  

     

    • Students if you plan on taking a Shelton course in the fall and you have not completed your online approval form- Mrs. Mac will be in room 2204 today or tomorrow during advisory. Please stop by and submit your online approval form.... There is a list posted outside by the elevator, if your name is on the list, you need to submit your form....... 

     

    • Students are you taking a class with Shelton State this summer? A Facilitator for Shelton State will be on the TC Campus over the summer from 8:00-9:00- Field house- and 9:00-1:30 TC Computer lab (excluding May 27, June 24- 28 and July 4th) to help with all of your Dual needs. Mrs. Cardwell is available to help with Test Proctoring, Online Book setup, Canvas and Login issues. Help is available so please utilize this service over the summer.  

     

    • Students will you be taking a Summer school ACCESS course this summer? If so, you must complete a registration form. Forms are located outside of room 1416. All forms must be returned to room 1416 ( AKA Mrs. Swindle before May 23. Summer term runs June 4-July 18.  

     

    • Interested in a Computer Science/AI Summer Learning Program? Stop by Mrs. Smith’s Room (Room 1502) this week for more information 
       

    • Seniors- If you paid in full for your cap and gown, you may pick it up in Mrs. Wheat’s office. If you still owe a balance, contact Jostens at 205-233-1945 to arrange a time to pick up your order.  

     

    • Interested in trying out for the Wrestling Team? Tryouts are coming up soon. Use the QR Codes outside Coach Foley and Coach Hooks’s Room to sign up. Girl Tryouts will be May 6th and 7th and Boy Tryouts will be May 8th, 9th, and 10th. Please see Coach Foley or Coach Hooks for more information.

    • Students Shelton State is offering a SUMMER Skills for Success program that can help provide entry-level skills for high-demand jobs at no cost if you qualify.  See Mrs. Costanzo for more details.  Current opportunities include: Food and Beverage – 14 or older, Skid Steer – 16 or older, Excavator – 16 or older, Fiber Optics – 16 or older, Mental Health Worker – 18 or older 

     

    • 10th graders transitioning into 11th graders and current 11th graders.  Hunt Oil has a new High School Apprenticeship program for Juniors who participate in our Modern Manufacturing program.  If you are interested, you must be a Modern Manufacturing student.  See Mrs. Peffer, Mrs. Mac or Mrs. Costanzo for more details 

     

    • Seniors! We hope that you will join us for the inaugural County High Senior Sunset. On Friday May 10th, we will have food trucks, a free snow cone per senior, and lawn games. As the sun sets at 7:35, we will gather for a final photo on the field, then settle on the field to watch a slideshow and movie. You can bring chairs and blankets! Please RSVP using the QR codes posted around the school so Mrs. Harris can get an accurate headcount for snow cones. Also, please upload your candid photos with your classmates from the last four years to the other QR code for the slideshow. 

     

    • Girls flag football try-outs for the 2024-2025 TCHS girls flag football team will be Tuesday May 7th from 3:30-6:00pm at the practice field. Students must have an up to date physical with you to give to Coach Haas when you get to TCHS to try out 

     

    • Volleyball tryouts for 10th-12th will be May 6th – 7th from 5:30-7:30. Students should use the signup link posted around the school for tryouts. Students must have an up to date physical with you to give to Coach when you get to TCHS to try out. 

     

    • Reminder- ALL library materials are due back NOW 

     

    • Any Men interested in trying out for the 2024-2025 Men’s Bowling team please scan one of the QR codes around the school to signup. Tryouts will be the middle of May- exact date to be announced soon.  

     

    Today’s lunch choices include: hamburger, cheesy nachos, French fries, parmesan roasted broccoli, choice of pizza, protein pack, fresh garden salad, fresh fruit & fresh veggies
