• FUTURE ALABAMA MUSIC EDUCATORS' WORKSHOP 

  • What is this event?       

    The Future Alabama Music Educators (FAME) Workshop is a one-day seminar sponsored by the Alabama Music Educators Association and held in conjunction with the January AMEA Professional Development Conference.  This seminar is for 11th and 12th grade high school students who have an interest in pursuing a career in music education to meet and interact with current music educators.

    Who should participate?   

    Any 11th or 12th grade choral student who plans to pursue a career in music education in the future.

    What do I have to do to participate?

    There is no audition required for participation.

    When is it?     

    The workshop is usually held in January.  See this year’s paperwork for specific dates.

    How much does it cost?

    The workshop is free, but you must provide your own transportation to the conference.

    What do I need to do in order to be able to audition?

    • Obtain director approval
    • Fill out the permission form
    • Return permission form by the deadline
    • After these steps are completed, we will register you for the workshop and provide you with more information.
