• SOLO AND ENSEMBLE 

  • What is this event?       

    Solo and Ensemble is an adjudicated event that gives interested students an opportunity to receive feedback on their individual and small ensemble performances.  Soloists and ensembles perform, from memory, two selections for one judge in a closed setting.

    Who should participate?   

    Any choral student with director approval (students with excessive absences or discipline referrals will not be approved).  Students who want to study and perfect difficult music will particularly enjoy this event.

    What do I have to do to participate?

    With the help of the directors, students will choose 2 pieces of solo music to learn (on their own time).

    When is it?     

    The festival is usually in March or April.  See this year’s paperwork for specific dates.

    How much does it cost?

    To participate, you pay $20-25 (see this year’s paperwork).

    What does the cost cover? 

    School and Individual audition fee

    What do I need to do in order to be able to audition?

    • Obtain director approval
    • Fill out the permission form
    • Return permission form by the deadline
    • After these steps are completed, we will help you prepare for the event.
