• My name is Scott Brown and I am entering my 25th year teaching in the Brookwood school zone.  I am a 1992 graduate of Arab High and a 1997 gradutate of the University of Alabama, where I earned a degree in Secondary Education Social Studies.  I received my masters degree in history from the University of West Alabama in 2009.  I spent 4 years at Brookwood High School, where I taught US History and World History.  I also served as assistant football coach, girls' basketball coach, and golf coach.  In 2002 I left Brookwood High School and spent the next 16 years at Brookwood Middle School where I taught 8th grade World History.  I served as head football coach at the middle school for 8 years as well as coaching girls' basketball and golf.  My last 3 years at BMS I served as the athletic director.  Five years ago, I made the transition back to Brookwood High School to teach US History I.  This year I will be my fourth year serving as athletic director at BHS.

My wife, Stacy, and I have been married for 23 years and have two wonderful daughters  (Anna 16, Addison 13). We spend our time traveling and going to sporting events.  Over the past 23 years of our marriage, we have traveled to Europe, Alaska, Guatemala, California, New England, Hawaii, the Bahamas, as well as countless other cities across the United States.  We are active members at First Baptist Tuscaloosa, where Stacy teaches 9th grade girls and I teach 7th grade boys Life Groups.

I am a longtime panther and love these students and this community.  I am very much looking forward to another great year at BHS.
