All Tuscaloosa County School System schools and offices will remain closed Wednesday, January 17, 2024. All extracurricular activities are canceled for January 17.

There are still areas of our county experiencing icy road conditions, which are not expected to improve until temperatures rise above freezing midday Wednesday. Additionally, morning temperatures are forecasted to be as low as single digits, with wind chills even colder. There are too many negative factors that could create a hazardous travel situation, particularly for our students waiting outside on buses. 

We will provide an update Wednesday about plans for Thursday, January 18, but at this time, we plan to return to normal operations for Thursday, January 18. Please stay safe and weather aware, and we thank our families for your patience and cooperation.
