Immediate Opportunities Available for Bus Drivers & Bus Aides

  • September 6, 2023

The Tuscaloosa County School System has immediate opportunities for bus drivers and bus aides. Our next New Driver Class begins September 19. There are day and night class options. There is some paperwork that must be completed prior to the start of the class, so if you are interested in this opportunity, contact the TCSS Transportation Department to begin this process today!

Please call (205) 342-2636 or email Craig Henson, TCSS Coordinator of Transportation, at cchenson@tcss.net with questions or for more information.

Offering competitive pay, excellent insurance/retirement benefits, as well as opportunities to earn extra income above your salary, these positions work well with other work schedules or as a part-time job. The positions also provide the great benefit of aligning with the TCSS school schedule. Drivers and aides enjoy holidays, summers, weekends, and nights off.

TCSS provides all driver training needed, so that you can successfully earn your Class B CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements, alongside your State of Alabama School Bus Operator’s Certificate.

To become a bus aide, the driver training class is not required.
