Teacher Expectations
- Students are expected to meet all course objectives and be able to demonstrate, apply, analyze and demonstrate an understanding of the underlying concepts.
- The instruction will be performance, project-based, technology-based, and incorporate cooperative learning.
- The course requires students to be in attendance each day for the completion of daily assignments.
- Students are required to keep a science notebook/journal.
- They will be responsible for all missed assignments or notes given that day.
Missed Assignments/Make-Ups/Extra Credit
- Students with excused absences are allowed to make up missed assignments within 3 days of returning to school.
- Students with unexcused absences are allowed to make up missed assignments with a deduction from the grade within 2 days.
- No Extra Credit work will be given
Evaluation and Grading
Students will be evaluated in the following categories: Class/Online Participation, Homework, Test and Quizzes, Online Assignments, and Projects and Labs. The following grading scale will be used:

- Be in your seat ready to work when the tardy bell rings.
- Listen and follow directions the first time they are given.

Academic Honesty
Plagiarism and Cheating of any kind on an examination, quiz, or assignment will result at least in an "F" for that assignment and may be subject to appropriate referral to the Office of Student Conduct for further action. In other words, don't cheat by giving answers to others or taking them from anyone else. I will also adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity, so please do not ask me to change (or expect me to change) your grade illegitimately or to bend or break rules for one person that will not apply to everyone.
