In October 2015, the Alabama State School Board passed administrative code that officially recognized dyslexia as a learning challenge for some of Alabama’s children.

Tuscaloosa County School System uses the Spire program for elementary students who have the learning challenge of dyslexia.

The Tuscaloosa County School System also uses: iSpire computerized support platform for secondary students.
