• My name is Sims Medders and I teach first grade here at Maxwell Elementary. I love teaching at Maxwell!! I received my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Alabama in 2002. I was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, AL.  I am married to my wonderful husband, Brandon. We have a precious girl, Berkley and a handsome man named Brody. We love spending our time watching Brody play baseball and Berkley doing gymnastics. During my free time I enjoy traveling, crafts, and spending time with my family. A few of my favorite things are Diet Coke, Reese’s Cups, Chick-fil-A, and Target. I am most passionate about helping my students grow and have a love for learning.
