    Bio

I was born in Whigham (a VERY small town in South Georgia.)  It was a wonderful place to grow up.  We moved to Florida when I was in the third grade, and remained there until I graduated from high school.  I was granted a scholarship to the University of West Alabama, so I packed up and moved 7 hours away from home.  It was a great town to live in and a wonderful college to attend!

I met my husband while attending UWA.  After graduation, I moved to Tuscaloosa (he is originally from Duncanville).  We have been blessed with two precious daughters, who love going to school at The Max and Duncanville Middle!  We attend First Baptist Church, and love spending time together as a family.  We also have one very spoiled poodle!

I began my teaching career at Matthews Elementary in Northport.  In 2005, I was hired to teach kindergarten at Maxwell.  I have been at the Max ever since!  I have taught kindergarten, and also second grade.  Currently, I am teaching second grade, and I absolutely love it.  The children are so excited about learning, and they are so much fun to teach!

I absolutely LOVE teaching at Maxwell!  This is a great school, and a very supportive community.  The children are awesome!! I feel very blessed to be here!
