    I have three years of experience in education. I taught 3rd and 1st grade in Tuscaloosa City Schools for a year and a half. I then taught 1st grade in Birmingham City Schools. This is my first year at Flatwoods.

    I was born and raised in Birmingham. I am the eldest sibling and I have two younger sisters whom I enjoy spending time with. My mom is my best friend and one Saturday each month, she travels from Birmingham to Tuscaloosa for a mother-daughter self-care day. On September 3, 2021, I had the pleasure of marrying my amazing husband. We have a fur baby (rabbit) named Thumper that we enjoy chasing around the house. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, shopping, watching crime mysteries and reality TV, and attending church.
