About Me:
Hey Brookwood family!
My name is Jordan Cummings and I am a 5th grade teacher here at Brookwood Elementary School. My students call me either Mrs. Cummings or Mrs. C (either is fine with me!). I am currently in my 3rd year teaching 5th grade. Previously, I taught K4 at Kingwood Christian CDC, and I have been at Brookwood for two years now!
I am originally from Wilsonville, Alabama. I graduated from Shelby County High School in 2014. I received my Associates Degree from Jefferson State Community College in 2016, and then went on to receive my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Montevallo in May 2018. In August 2021, I will finally have my Master's Degree from the University of West Alabama.
I met my husband, Carl, back in June 2014 and we got married on June 18, 2016. We've been married for 5 years now, and we welcomed our first son, Tanner, into the world on May 14th, 2019. He is now two years old and the light of our little family!
In my spare time, I love to travel and do yoga. I am a HUGE Marvel fan, but you might be surprised to hear that my favorite character is Loki. My favorite place in the world is Big Timber, Montana...really just the mountains of Montana in general though. Coffee is a huge must in my life, along with Dove chocolates.
I LOVE my Brookwood family and I LOVE my 5th graders, so I cannot wait to teach your sweet kiddos this upcoming year!
