    Bio

    My name is Misty Jones.  I attended The University of Alabama and graduated with a BS in Early Childhood Education in May of 1991.  I was employed by Brookwood Elementary School in August of 1992.  I have taught kindergarten since being hired here at BWES.  Each year I look forward to teaching kindergarten.  I find kindergartners to be an exciting and motivating group of children to work with.  Brookwood Elementary is a wonderful school that offers endless opportunities to our students and the surrounding community.

    I am married to Gene Jones and we have two adult daughters.  We live in a wooded area of Tuscaloosa and we enjoy such hobbies as canoeing and hiking.  We  love to travel and see different locations.  We also have several dogs that are part of our family.    Everyone in our family shares a love of the outdoors.
