Hi, Patriot Family! My name is Christen Ballard and this is my first year back to HMS since I was a student here MANY years ago! I'm excited to call myself a Patriot again and excited to teach within my own community! I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Food & Nutrition (Coordinated Program in Dietetics) and my Master's Degree in Human Nutrition, both from The University of Alabama. I have been in education for five years and I love it. I know it is where I'm meant to be and is my purpose in this life. My students are "my kids" while I have them and forever after. I will be teaching Home Economics and Hand-Crafting this year and I'm so excited about both! I am married to Kevin and we have a daughter, Jolee Camille. We have three spoiled rotten dogs at home and we all like to deer hunt. I like to listen to music, read, shop, and spend time with family and friends. I look forward to a fantastic year!
