The Myrtlewood Elementary School Counseling Program Mission is to provide a comprehensive school counseling program to all students with equal access to comprehensive and developmentally appropriate counseling services which promote equity in achievement.  Students will be taught to treat others with fairness and compassion to be successful world-class citizens and future leaders.  Through the leadership of the school counselor, students will focus on their academic, career, and social/emotional growth which promotes the well-being of the whole child.  The school counselor will advocate for every students' needs so they acquire the knowledge and skills to be college and career ready and successful lifelong learners.  By collaborating with counselors, students, educators, parents, and community members, the school counseling program will have the support and resources to prepare students to compete in a global community.

The vision of the Myrtlewood Elementary School Counseling Program is that all students are active, compassionate life-long learners who realize their true value and worth.  They become knowledgeable and resilient learners who appreciate diversity and use empathy as well as academic/social emotional and career readiness skills to reach their fullest potential to make a positive difference in their home, workplace and global community.
