Welcome
My name is Anna Cain, and this will be my third year teaching 2nd grade. I have taught two years of 1st grade and two years of 2nd grade. I'm so excited to begin my third year of teaching at such an amazing school surrounded by such amazing people.

Education
Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Alabama
Master of Education in Elementary Education from the University of West Alabama

Background/Education
I was born and raised here in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and I can't think of a better place to call home! I attended The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) where I graduated in December of 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. With this degree, I am certified in both Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. I went on to continue my education at the University of West Alabama where I received a Master's Degree in Elementary Education in May 2022.

Philosophy of Education
I truly believe that teaching is my calling, and I can't see myself doing anything else with my life! My goal as a teacher is to make my classroom a safe, fun, and inviting environment where my students will thrive. I hope my students leave my classroom each day knowing that they are loved, cared for, valued, important, and capable of doing amazing things.

Hobbies/Favorites
In my free time, I enjoy spending family time with my husband and our precious daughter, Elliot. A few of my favorite things include Dr. Pepper, chocolate, coffee, and cats!
