• Things You Should Know About Mrs. Thomas:
                               
    1.  I'm a local! I have lived my entire life in Lake View, and I absolutely love teaching students from my own community. I have been married for 12 years to Eric. Our children attend Lake View Elementary.  Bryson Claire is in 2nd grade and her brother, Forest, is in kindergarten.
     
    2.My favorite outside-of-school activity is traveling to new places where we can hike, bike, kayak, and enjoy nature. I love to be outside doing anything in the sun, rain, snow, or storm. When it comes to teaching,  I wish I had a classroom with no walls; both literally and figuratively.
       
    3. I am a true bibliophile (a lover of books especially for qualities of format;also:a book collector -Webster's Definition), and I also love to write. My #1 bucket list item is to have a book published.
      
     
    4. I am definitely what is called a "life-long learner". I hold an Educational Specialist and Master's degree in Gifted/Talented education. I am very passionate about this field because the practices in GT encourage students to broaden their thinking and expand upon their current knowledge to fulfill and go beyond their abilities. However, I believe that this is a rationale for all students and strive to teach every student in this way. 
     
     
    5. I really love to have fun. And that's what we are going to do.
