Hi! My name is Mrs. Lachney and I am going to be your traditional or remote fourth grade teacher at Lake View Elementary. I am excited to learn all about you during the 2020-2021 school year. First, I want to tell you about myself so you will already know a little about me on the first day of school. When I was growing up, both of my parents were in the military. So, when I was in elementary school I lived in Florida, Maryland, and Puerto Rico! After I graduated from high school I decided to attend the University of Alabama. Roll Tide!! I am married to Mr. Lachney and we live in Tuscaloosa. We have a little girl named Elizabeth Gray. She is three years old and keeps us very busy. She loves to talk, listen to books, and learn new things every day. I will often show you pictures of the funny things she does! We are also expecting another next little girl this November. We are very excited to grow our family. One of our favorite things to do as a family is to travel to new places. This summer we visited Oregon- all the way on the west coast! We had so much fun seeing the beautiful scenery and spending time with family.

I can’t wait to hear about you, your family, and the things you did this summer!  I know it hasn’t been the same as other summers but I hope you have had some fun. This year is also going to look a little different but I hope we can make it as “normal” as possible. We won’t be having our usual open house but we have other things planned. If you visit the LVES website and find my name- you will be able to watch a video from me and view a sneak peek of our classroom. You will also get to bring all of your supplies to drop off on Aug 13 or 14 between 9-1 or on the first day of school! You can bring a little each day if that makes it easier. Please make sure that your name is labeled on every item you bring. You will also need a snack and reusable water bottle (labeled) each day. Please go ahead and fill your bottle with water  before coming to school. The water bottle will stay at school and be reused instead of water fountains. J

We are going to learn so much this year while having A LOT of fun! Enjoy the remaining days of your vacation and prepare to have the best school year ever!

See or talk to you soon,

    Mrs. Lachney
