Brookwood Middle School

Mr. Bowen is a native of Flora, Illinois. Mr. Bowen attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale where he earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. While at SIU, Mr. Bowen studied with Dr. Thomas Bough, Mr. Mike Hanes, Dr. Christopher Morehouse and Mr. Ron Coulter. He also holds a Masters Degree in Teacher Leadership from National University.

Mr. Bowen began teaching at Brookwood Middle School in 2013-2014. Prior to arriving at Brookwood, Mr. Bowen taught for six years in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Mr. Bowen is a member of the Alabama Music Educators Association, Alabama Bandmasters Association and National Association for Music Education.

In his spare time, Mr. Bowen likes to do anything that involves spending time with his wife, Julia, & their three children Malachi, Gabriel, & Trinity.
