A Plus Middle School Program
Brookwood Middle is excited about being one of the initial middle schools in the State of Alabama to be included in the A Plus MSTIP.The MSTIP is designed after the very successful Advanced Placement Training and Incentive Program (APTIP) that A+ College Ready has been leading throughout Alabama for the past twelve years. This program led Alabama to lead the nation in percent increase in AP qualifying scores. We are hopeful we will see similar academic growth in the MSTIP program. The key component of the MSTIP program is high-quality professional learning using research-based, challenging curriculum for middle school administrators and teachers in math, science, English, social studies and computer science. In addition to the high-quality professional learning, the MSTIP program provides equipment, materials, and supplies needed to implement the E3 curriculum, the basis of the teacher training. Administrators, teachers and students will be eligible for incentive stipends based on the academic achievement and more importantly, academic growth, of students during the program. The ultimate outcome is a significant increase in school-wide academic expectations and student academic growth and achievement as evidenced by the PSAT 8/9 assessment. To learn more about A Plus, please Click Here -
