• My name is Kimberly Lavender and I began my journey in education in 2003. I am a native of Carrollton, AL and a proud graduate of Carrollton High School. I am extremely excited to have this opportunity to be Principal at the same school I have taught in for 15 years. This is my second year as Principal, but I have been a classroom teacher, interventionist, and Assistant Principal all at Matthews Elementary.

    Matthews Elementary holds a special place in my heart and I am devoted to making Matthews successful. I expect to create stronger and lasting relationships between school, home, and community. It truly takes a village and I will work diligently to build a community of dedication and collaboration. Together we can achieve anything!
