Marcia Hyche
Welcome to 6th grade! My name is Marcia Hyche, and I teach 6th grade Science.
I am originally from Centreville, Alabama. In 1991, I graduated from Bibb County High School and then began college at the University of Montevallo where I received a B.S. degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. After graduating in 1994, I began my teaching career at Brookwood Elementary where I taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. When Brookwood Middle School opened in August 2002, I transferred to begin teaching 6th grade science. This year begins my 27th year teaching in Tuscaloosa County, and I cannot imagine teaching anywhere except Brookwood Middle School. We have the BEST principal, faculty and staff, and students in the county. GO PANTHERS!!!
My husband, Michael, and I live in Brookwood, and we have an 18 year old daughter named Madi, who is the joy of our life. We also have a large pet family and currently have 5 dogs, Woody, Pearl, Sadie, Lucky, and our newest addition, Bo. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, exercising, shopping, decorating, and spending time with our dogs. In addition, I also enjoy watching Alabama football with family. ROLL TIDE!! I attend Liberty Free Will Baptist in Lawley, AL, where I am church pianist. I absolutely LOVE teaching science, and I am prepared to teach your child relevent information that will help every 6th grader be the best they can be as well as learn science concepts they can use in everyday life! My goal is to make science exciting for every child. Please feel free to contact me if you ever have questions or concerns! Together, we will have a great year!
