    Message from Mrs. Rogers
Hello! I am so very excited to start my tenth year as the counselor at Huntington Place Elementary! I am from Tuscaloosa and graduated from the University of Alabama. I have my Bachelor's Degree in Communicative Disorders, and then I went to the University of Montevallo to receive a teacher certification in Special Education with an endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing.  I received my Master's of Education Degree in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama.  I taught Special Education for 8 years at Echols Middle School and 1 year at Gordo High School.

I am married to Brent Rogers.  He is an assistant principal at Brookwood Middle School.  We have been married 21 years and have 3 children; Seth, Caleb, and Rachel.  We also have a dog, Piper, and 2 cats, Daisy and Tulip.

Working with children to help them be successful in school and in life and to shine as leaders is my passion. I believe every student, given the proper motivation, support, and encouragement, can be a leader and celebrate personal success!

I look forward to working with your child this year to help him/her be his/her best. Please e-mail (mrogers@tcss.net), call (342-2652 ext. 3), or set up an appointment to visit me if I can be of any further assistance.
