Sipsey Valley Middle School Families, Faculty, and Staff,

On Friday, after school had dismissed for the day, a concern involving the safety of our school was brought to my attention. We quickly began an investigation, with assistance from the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office. To preserve the privacy of anyone involved in the situation, there are many details I cannot discuss publicly. However, please know that we have addressed the concern, and we look forward to seeing our students at school tomorrow. To provide extra support, we will have additional law enforcement officers on our campus tomorrow, Monday, January 23. 

We depend on our students and families to help maintain a safe environment at our school, and we are thankful when you share information with us about school or student safety concerns.
