• Dual/Accelerated Enrollment Opportunities

    1. What is dual enrollment? An opportunity for high school students who have completed 9th grade to earn college credit while still in high school.  The credit counts for both high school and college.  They grade and course would be placed on both transcripts.
    2. What is accelerated enrollment? An opportunity for students to earn college credit only.  Courses taken would NOT count for high school credit, only college credit.
    3. Where can students earn dual/accelerated credit? UA, Shelton, and Bevill.  In the process of working with Stillman College as well.
    4. How much does it cost? $400-$600 depending on where you take the course
    5. Is there scholarship money available?   Both Shelton and Bevill offer career technical scholarships if students take classes in those areas.  There is also other money available.
    6. Where and how would I take the courses? Courses can be taken online or on campus depending on what works best with the high school schedule you already have in place.
