I am so glad to be part of the Echols Middle School family. I am a native of Demopolis but have also lived in Selma, Decatur and Muscle Shoals. After high school I graduated from Livingston University (now UWA) with a degree in Biology and a Master of Arts in Teaching Biology. A few years later I enrolled in the University of North Alabama and earned my Educational Adminstration certificate and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership. I am currently a student at the University of Southern Mississippi.
This is beginning my 27th year in public education here is Alabama. I have taught a variety of life science courses at Demopolis, Speake (Lawrence County), Russellville, Good Hope (Cullman County), Bibb County and Northridge (Tuscaloosa City). Many of those years I served in athletics as well as working with other extracurricular activities.
When not in school I enjoy traveling, trying new foods and attending sporting events. I have been fortunate to see almost every state (48 and counting) as well as several countries from around the world. I am also active with the Black Warrior Council and the Scouting programs here in West Alabama, most recently serving as the Camp Director at Camp Horne.
