Behavior Calendars

  • If your child has a behavior goal in their IEP, they should have behavior calendars that are being marked by teachers daily and should come home to you to initial daily or sign weekly. This is very important for students to reach behavioral success. Also, the students are responsible for keeping up with these calendars and turning them into their teachers at the end of each month to collect for data purposes. We would really appreciate your help with this.

Paperwork

  • Students will be bringing paperwork home often to inform you of their progress. Every couple of weeks, they will have Prong II forms and work samples related to their IEP goals and with every report card they will have a progress report that must be signed and returned. We will also mail important forms home about meetings or about paperwork updates periodically. It is very important that we have your correct mailing address and that you check your mail frequently and return forms in a timely manner. We want to make sure your child is receiving the help they need.

Meetings

  • The success of our students is our top priority at Holt and with our Special Education Department. In order to best serve each of our students, it is vital that we keep open communication with you, the parents. We value your input during meetings that we have regarding your child especially when developing their IEP for the upcoming school year. When you receive any information about dates or times for meetings for your child, please be sure to return the forms or contact the sender so we can make sure that you will be present for each meeting.
