My name is Joanna Johnson, and this is my 8th year at Northside Middle School and my 16th in education. I am very excited to be a part of such a great school. I started teaching in the Tuscaloosa City School System at Paul W. Bryant High School where I taught 9th, 11th, and 12th grade English. Then, I moved to Gordo High School to teach 7th and 8th grade English for six years. I received my Master's degree and Education Specialist degree in Library Media in 2012 and 2015 and was the library media specialist for Pickens County High School before moving to NMS. I have two beautiful sons, Peyton, who is a junior at NHS, and Gavin, who is in 6th grade here at NMS.
